• 1985: Youth Challenge was launched to get unruly teenagers off the streets and to provide more fulfilling programmes and activities for these "Centerpoint teenagers", a term used to describe the social phenomenon of teenagers hanging out at shopping complexes.
• Present: Youth Challlenge aims to motivate the apathetic youths of today, as well as to impart skills such as critical thinking, management ability and leadership skills to groom them into future leaders of society.
